City & State’s 2021 Responsible 100 list highlights New Yorkers who are dedicated to helping others
BUFFALO, N.Y.- Government relations firm, O’Donnell & Associates announces that Jim Moore, Vice-President and Policy Director at OD&A has been ranked among the top 100 socially responsible citizens in New York State by City & State New York, a prominent trade publication covering politics and policy in the Empire State.
The list includes leaders in business, government, nonprofits, and advocacy and according to City & State, features citizens who exemplify the optimism and idealism that make New York a national leader, especially in this politically charged environment.
“Social responsibility sometimes gets lost in government relations. Too many people use their influence for selfish aims,” says Moore. “We only work for clients – and on projects – that make New York a better place to live, work and raise families.”
At OD&A, Moore manages legislative strategy for clients in fintech, artificial intelligence, health care, human services, and community-based organizations.
“My success – and that of our clients – is knowledge-based, understanding the who, what and why of regulation and legislation, especially in the ever-changing world of fintech and artificial intelligence,” says Moore.
Prior to joining OD&A in 2019, Moore served as Deputy Regional Director for Chuck Schumer, now Majority Leader of the U.S. Senate and credits his best career advice to the political leader.
“My first boss, Sen. Chuck Schumer, said if you can look forward to going home to your family on Friday and are ready to return to work on Monday, you are doing something right,” says Moore.
Moore currently resides in the Capital region with his wife and son. The Buffalo native graduated from Canisius High School and earned a Political Science and Business Administration degree at the University of Vermont.
